How to Study for AP Exams: A 7-Week Plan That Works
Seven weeks is enough time to significantly improve your AP exam readiness if you use the time strategically.
Weeks 1-2: Content Review
Identify the major units covered on your exam. Review notes and textbook summaries for each unit. Create a one-page study sheet per unit with key terms and concepts.
Weeks 3-4: Practice Questions
Work through multiple choice questions by topic. Review official released exams and practice free-response questions under timed conditions.
Weeks 5-6: Full Practice Exams
Take at least two full-length practice exams. Score them honestly and identify remaining gaps. Focus review on your weakest topics.
Week 7: Final Review
Light review only. Revisit your study sheets. Do a few practice problems daily. Get plenty of sleep before exam day.
